Parallel Air-Water Flow for Superior Heat Exchange Performance

The KCF Series features a co-current air-water mixed flow design, combining coil heat exchangers with PVC fill material for efficient secondary heat transfer. This design also reduces scale formation on the coil surface. Air and spray water flow over the coils simultaneously, ensuring full coverage and a wetted coil surface, which minimizes scaling compared to counterflow towers.

The fill structure improves spray heat exchange efficiency, reducing airflow needs and saving energy. Spray water is cooled by PVC fill and flows horizontally with incoming air, relying on lower water temperatures for better cooling. This minimizes coil surface area, cutting manufacturing costs.

The system features high structural strength and good pressure-bearing capacity, with an allowable working pressure of 1.6MPa. It allows for independent cleaning of each heat exchange tube. The inclined angle of the heat exchange tubes prevents dirt or debris buildup and enables automatic emptying.

Inline Heat Exchange Tubes

The sewage cooling tower uses inline heat exchange tubes arranged at a steep angle for natural flow and easy drainage, ensuring good cleanability. Materials like 304, 316L, 2205 duplex stainless steel, and Ti-grade tubes are available based on corrosion resistance needs. The tube inner surface has a rough- ness of Ra 3.2μm, ensuring smooth flow and preventing blockages from excessive flow resistance.
